The 2005 Contest is over as of December 31st 2005. Please check back at this site in the summer of 2006.  We will be starting the 2nd Annual Catahoula Photo Contest in June or July of 2006. Click here if you wish to be notified when our contest has started.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a 5x7 Hand-Painted Colored Pencil Portrait of their photo.
Three finalists will receive 10 catahoula notecards and 10 catahoula Christmas cards.
Five honorable mentions will receive 10 catahoula notecards.

10% of the proceeds from the sale of these cards will be donated to catahoula rescue.

Photo Contest Rules and Requirements

The photos can be of any size, but the larger the better, especially if you are sending digital files.

The pictures can be prints, slides or digital files.

If you want your photos returned, please send a self-addressed and stamped envelope which is large enough for the photo to the contest address

Any picture of a catahoula is acceptable.  It can have people or other animals in the photo as well.

All photos received will be considered for use in Just Plain Pix note and Christmas cards.  If your photos are accepted, you will have to sign a release granting Just Plain Pix use of your photo for the above purpose. Judging will be done by Kym Nippes and Andy Lewis of Just Plain Pix..

Entries will be accepted from 10/12/05 through 12/31/05.

All photos submitted must have been taken by the submitter or must have been given proof of release by the photographer.  You cannot send photos taken by a professional photographer unless they has specifically given you permission to submit them to this contest.
